Beds & Cambs 4×4 Response (BC4x4R) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation – a group of ordinary people going the extra mile in support of our Local Authorities, Emergency and other Vulnerable Person Support Services. Providing logistical and vehicular assistance at times of need and want when a specialist 4×4 vehicle would benefit over other available vehicles; such as times of adverse weather/flooding events or major incidents.

We are a group of multi-skilled and experienced 4×4 owners that can provide support across Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire in times of need. We ensure that continuing development and training is undertaken to enable all volunteers to reach a set standard when attending incidents.

Beds & Cambs 4×4 Response is one of several charities that fall under the umbrella of the national 4×4 Response UK network. Formed from dedicated 4×4 owners who wish to voluntarily provide assistance in helping their own communities and others. These groups work in support of each other, sharing standards and information through 4×4 Response UK; including additional training, familiarisation and experience.

How can we help organisations?

If you would like our assistance and would like to discuss a Memorandum of Understanding with us then please use the contact us form.

– Services in support of vulnerable persons organisations are free and we just charge mileage when we assist.

– Commercial Support and Event Management that require support are subject to a very competitive, mutually agreed, fee per vehicle per call out. If in doubt, please contact us and we can talk about the options available to you.
